Arc Flash Study
Arc flash hazard analysis performed to IEEE 1584-2018, covering equipment from 15 kV switchgear down to 120/208 V panelboards.
The study answers a question your people ask every time they open a door: how much energy is released if this faults while I am standing here, and what do I have to be wearing. AC and DC systems are both covered. Equipment below 240 V fed from a source with less than 2000 A bolted fault current uses default values rather than a calculated result, and the report says so rather than presenting a default as a calculation.
Scope
- Incident energy calculations
- Arc flash boundary determination
- PPE category assignment
- Equipment labeling
- Recommendations to reduce incident energy
