Powering Solutions. Delivering Reliability.

KAAN LLC has provided electrical power system engineering since 2017, serving industrial and utility clients across the United States.

Engineering and equipment

The firm works across both halves of a power distribution system: the analysis that establishes how it behaves under fault, and the equipment it is built from. Most firms do one. An engineering consultancy produces a study and hands over a list of what to replace; a supplier sells the equipment and cannot tell you whether it coordinates with what is already installed. Carrying both means the recommendation and the hardware are answerable to the same people.

The engineering side covers load flow, short circuit, protection coordination and arc flash studies, and NETA-aligned testing and commissioning. The equipment side covers distribution boards, transformers, substations, busway, cable and accessories, and protection devices.

Engineering approach

Scope is set from what already exists: single-lines, equipment schedules, nameplate data and relay lists. If those are incomplete, establishing them is part of the job and is priced as such rather than assumed away. Studies are delivered as reports carrying the calculations and appendices behind every finding, because a conclusion that cannot be checked is not usable in an audit and is not much use in a plant either.
